Spotlight on Hip Replacement

Spotlight is a radio show that seeks to find treatment options to chronic hip and knee pain that plagues so many Americans. Dr. Zelicof was recently invited onto the radio show to discuss total hip replacement, hip resurfacing, and arthritis solutions. Featured below are excerpts from the show.

Steven Zelicof of Specialty Orthopaedics, Harrison, New York

Dr. Steven Zelicof is a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon. He specializes in sports medicine, joint reconstruction and arthritis surgery. Dr. Zelicof has been in practice in Westchester since 1990. He is the founder for the center for arthritis at Sound Shore Medical Center, where he also serves as the Chief of the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery. Dr. Zelicof is an associate professor of orthopaedic surgery at New York Medical College, as well. He has operative privileges at Sound Shore Medical Center, and Westchester Medical Center, and the Hospital for Special Surgery. Dr. Zelicof received his medical degree at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and did his orthopaedic residency at Cornell University, the Hospital for Special Surgery, and completed a joint reconstruction and arthritis surgery fellowship at the Harvard Medical School in Boston, MA. Dr. Zelicof is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, the American College of Surgeons, the American Medical Association, and many, many more professional affiliations.

Interestingly, Dr. Zelicof served as team physician for the world team tennis New York Sportime for three seasons. Also, Dr. Zelicof served as orthopaedic consultant for the PGA, LPGA, and Champions Golf Tour, and team physician for the US Cycling Federation.
